Dragon of Rain and Waterfalls by kimrhodes Dragon of Rain and Waterfalls by kimrhodes
Sculpture made by me, dragon design by Yuge.  sold.
*update: materials*
I've gotten several questions about the wings. They are Angelina/Fantasy film & wire coated with gallery glass, I added some thickness to the "arms" with apoxie sculpt and air brushed the blue over the top.  Just search for fairy wing tutorials if you want tot make some yourself.
Body is stuffing needle-felted onto a wire armature than covered with fabric.
The head and feet are sculpey and apoxie sculpt, the eyes are glass and the scales are fabric.

I love how imaginative this is: the different elements inspired by a variety of species are really cool. The wings look like a cross between some sort of butterfly wings and some kind of fish fins, which makes them ethereal with a hint of almost creepiness. The tips of the veins on the wings look like jewel tear drops--a very cool effect. And what are the shiny scales made out of? This dragon looks like it could as easily swim as fly. What materials did you use for this creature? How did you achieve those beautiful wet-looking, blended colors on the wings?
