This is a Karasu Tengu commissioned by

This is why he carries a sword tho some are depicted carrying a sort of staff.
My version is less humanoid and more of a monkey/raven mix.
10" tall stuffed body with clay parts, glass eyes and felt and fabric wings.

Wow, I think I just fell in love! First of all thanks for the link - interesting info-collection about karasu-tengus. As a lover of anything related with ravens it was a feast

And then to your little fella here. SO much character in it. It's a tad impisch yet really noble at the same time! Love the "sideburns" and as for the corvid/human/mokey-mix: it's not too off from those old illustrations, I'd say, but more detailed (and pretty).
I think this is THE Tengu for me now
